Weight loss requires an energy deficit, but well planned heathy and sustainable eating program that ensures you will still meet your nutrition requirements. To achieve hypertrophy, you require a positive energy balance with sufficient protein together with a hypertrophy training program. Endurance athletes have increased demands for total energy and certain nutrients including carbohydrate and protein.
Every weight loss, hypertrophy and endurance nutrition plan has the same base principles. What differs are generally lifestyle factors such as food likes / dislikes; food availability, intolerance / allergies, body composition and personalised times prescribed for meals and snacks around known training, competition and lifestyle demands.
